Adapts to varied roles, jobs responsibilities, schedules and contexts.
This year I tried to adapt to varied roles, job responsibilities, schedules and contexts, but I realized this is hard for me to do. Because I have a strong sense of organizing, finalizing and planning people often give me the same things to do. I also like to do those things, because they are my strong points.
In the end, looking back, I do not want to say my group members are not capable of doing these tasks, but I realized, becasue I have all this experience in doing it, I am better at it. and letting go, letting someone else make something, that could potentionally be worse then what I would have made is really hard for me to do.
This block I did realize I am capaple of adapting my schedule and contexts. I tried really hard to change those aspects, and I realized that I can do it if I trust the person sitting in front of me. If that person showed me that they can do it, I have absolutely 0 issues with giving them the responsibility.
Works effectively in a climate of ambiguty and changing priorities
This block I realized that, when priorities changed, I can adapt to those changes rather easily if I set my brain to it. When Nia left our group, a lot of priorities and tasks changed and we picked it up like a group and worked togther to make it all happen.
Sets and meets goals, even in the face of obstacles and competing pressures
In the beginning of this block I set 3 goals.
You can read those goals in the ABI --> Goals section.
In the end, looking back, I realize that I managed to complete my goals, but I still need to work on them.
This block we faced a lot of obstacles and competing pressures, especially between me and Laura. She has a more passive-POV in working and I have a more Active-POV. Meaning that I would like someone to step in if they see something going wrong and she wants to communicate more on that she is 'invited in' to do something about it.
Laura and I talked about it and we now see clearly what our differences are, and how we can communicate more clearly in solving these issues.
Demonstrates initiative to advance skill levels towards a professional level
I have a strong initiative feeling, when something needs to be done I often volenteer myself to do it. Or when we need to look at things that we need to finish, I often look at the schedules and divide the tasks.
This is a strong point, but the thing I really need to work at is the connection to professional level. Instead of dividing the tasks, I should communicate more towards my peers what they want to do/are doing.
Develops, implements and communicates ideas to others.
Developing my communication has really been a big goal this year, and looking back I now see how much I have grown. I still need to work on my communication skills and making sure the receiver implements it correctly.
Views failure as an opportunity to learn; understands that creativity and innovation is a long-term, cyclical process of small successes and frequent mistakes
Friday the 14th till Friday the 21st was a really stressfull week for me. People delivering assignments at the last moment, or even not doing anything caused me to get a panic attack. I saw everything I worked on this year for school come crashing down.
Thursday the 20th, after my exam, I started to reflect back to this block and saw that eventhough we made mistakes and failed, we came out stronger. Especially after the P2P I saw that everyone really learned something this block.
We cannot do everything perfect, immediately when we do it. School is a learning space and we are allowed to make mistakes.
