Re-Do Block C
On the 6th of May I received feedback from Nova about my portfolio.
In block C I received a 4 for the portfolio, she told me I should add a weekly update from block D to my portfolio.
Containing the feedback I received from my peers, schedule and also an update on my goals I want to achieve this block.

Reflection Block D
Things I have to do differently is letting people choose what to do.
What I did this block was instead of waiting for their initiative, assigning people to tasks. This is because I realized people find it hard to say ‘I will do it’ or taking the initiative to look at what needs to be done. I did this, because I did not want people to feel like I did every assignment myself.

I did this, because I did not want people to feel like I did every assignment myself.
I still find it hard if people do not take initiative in working on assignments. I feel like I always have to look at the deadlines, look what needs to be done, and what everybody should be doing. Because, if I do not do that, things go wrong and we do everything at the last moment. For example: This block it was very clear what the Sound producer had to deliver in the end. But that person did not take responsibility to make it, until I asked it of them. This was hard, because it was very clearly stated in the brief assignment and by the lecturers.
For into the future, instead of assigning people to tasks, ask them; What will you do? This way they take their own initiative and work together with me on the assignments and tasks.
What I also should do more, when giving feedback, is asking what they are going to do next when they received it.
To check if they really understood my feedback and that they not only listened, but also received the message I was trying to send.

Reflection Block C
In this block I have noticed that I have troubles expressing myself to my other peers. When they do not share the same opinions as me and express it towards me that I do not like, I will shut down and tell myself that I can do it alone, that they do not listen anyways. I should express those feelings and show my peers what is going on inside my head and why I do and say certain things.
I demonstrate commitment to learning as a lifelong process
During this production house I clearly stated to my team members that I did not want to do everything by myself.
I clearly divided the tasks and showed my group members that I was learning and committed to changing myself for the better.

Reflects critically on past experiences in order to inform future progress
This block itself I got the feedback to be more assertive, and that is something I should learn and make it my next goal for block C
Reflects critically on learning experiences and processes
Looking back to block B, I realize that I have learned to not do everything myself and let other members of the group also take some responsibility. This was really hard for me to do, but it caused that I had less stress and eventually really depended on group work and we made an excellent book!
The thing I should do more, as stated before, is being more assertive. I agree on this point, because I realized that when I was just a bit more assertive, the group worked better and took more responsibility. I now have to learn that being assertive does not mean you should be mean against people, but find a way to motivate AND be more strict.
Sticks to familiar roles and responsibilities within the same context and situation.
Adapts to varied roles, job responsibilities, schedules and context
In this block, me and my group decided to make me the manager of the group. This is an familiar role, that often comes with the same responsibilities. We choose for this decision, because out of the group I was the best choice. I also discussed this with Nova in the beginning of this block and she agreed that this was a better choice at this moment.
Next block I am going to give the manager role to someone else, so I can try out other job responsibilities.
